Hi. I have just come back from a weeks holiday in Palencia and visited a small mountain village near the embalse de ruesga. In a stream standing on a stone I saw a bird that I thought was a Dipper (mirlo acuático). However I checked in my bird book which is usually very accurate and there is no mention of the dipper. The only other bird similar is a Ring Ouzel. I just wondered if anybody can confirm that there are Dippers in Spain and based on the location, what it was I probably saw?
Thanks

Yup, almost definitely a dipper! Common throughout Spain.
